Danielle “Dani” Smith 2021 Participant Clinical Coordinator - Eagle River Valley
Surgery Scheduling, Orthopedics of Steamboat Springs
Raised in Southern California, Dani grew up outdoors hiking, biking, and living in the water. She attended college first in Honolulu, Hawaii, before graduating from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas where she studied English and Psychology. A lifelong singer-songwriter, Dani pursued music before entering the world of outdoor education as a backpacking and canoeing guide for teenage girls in the backcountry of Maine. She’s now happily settled in Colorado ready to dive into the world of psychology and counseling, fueled by her experience with creative marketing writing and strategic patient care skills.
“One summer evening I was watching a string of cycling videos online when Heather Russell’s interview with Jen Whalen came on the Specialized YouTube channel. Waterworks, immediately. I knew that I had to get involved with Sacred Cycle in any capacity possible because cycling has been such a powerful part of my own healing journey. There is immense potential for personal growth and healing in the outdoors, and none more methodical than one pedal in front of the other no matter the terrain.”
When Dani isn’t on her bike or behind a screen, you can find her playing guitar under a tree somewhere, camping with friends, or making a gourmet meal paired with the perfect wine.
