Excerpt: The #metoo movement continues to expose an uncomfortable reality: if you are female, you will probably face some form of sexual harassment, assault, or abuse in your lifetime. According to the National Sexual Violence Research Center, one in three women in the U.S. will experience some form of sexual violence. People from marginalized sexual orientations, gender identities, or racial and ethnic identities face disproportionately higher levels of violence.
